Sıla Çalış Ulusoy is an Instructor at OSTİM Technical University’s School of Foreign Languages in Ankara, Turkey. She currently serves as the Chair of the Department of Modern Languages at the School of Foreign Languages. She graduated from the Department of English Language and Literature at Hacettepe University in 2015 and completed her pedagogical formation training at the same university. In 2021, she completed her Master’s degree in English Culture and Literature at Atılım University on a scholarship. In her Master’s thesis, titled “Diasporic Identities of Immigrants in Andrea Levy’s Small Island and Nadeem Aslam’s Maps for Lost Lovers,” she examined the concepts of migration, diaspora, and identity within the context of contemporary English literature. She is currently pursuing her Ph.D. in English Language and Literature at Ankara Hacı Bayram Veli University. Her research interests include English for Academic Purposes (EAP), English for Specific Purposes (ESP), curriculum and materials development in foreign language education, technology-enhanced language teaching, English and Irish literature, postdramatic and political theatre, literary theories, migration and diaspora studies, as well as post-truth and representation.
